Altify AI - ALT Text Generator is a Shopify app that helps merchants review and update product image ALT text. This policy describes the data handled by the app.

Data We Access

The app requests access to read product information and update Shopify files. It reads product titles, product media IDs, current image ALT text and image preview URLs so merchants can review suggestions before saving.

Data We Store

The app stores Shopify session records required for authentication, short-lived review previews, change history, and temporary operation locks. Review previews expire after one hour. Change history is kept so merchants can inspect or undo saved ALT changes.

AI and Third Parties

The app does not send product images or product data to an external image analysis provider. Suggestions are generated from product titles inside the app.

Uninstall and Deletion

When a store uninstalls the app, the app removes its sessions, previews, history and operation locks for that store. Merchants can also request deletion through the data deletion page.
